This Camaro was purchased new by T. Faye (Byrum) (Rudkin) Garrison in 1968 from Fred Bower Chevrolet in Portland, Oregon. It is our belief that Fred Bower ordered it as a dealer display car in the 5th week of September 1968. The wheel covers, steering wheel, rear differential and many more options were added to the standard Camaro coupe to show options for the different models.

In 1978 the car was given to her daughter Tamara Faye (Rudkin) Monteau for graduation. The Lady received a full (light) restoration in 1989, including full engine rebuild and what we thought at the time was professional body work. Later that year, Tam was forced to sell it to her sister Shawn H. (Rudkin) Garrison to purchase a used mini-van. (You can't seat four children in the back of a Camaro.)

In 2011, we purchased the car back from Shawn and it's in its second owner's hands once more. We did not truly understand the scope of her damage until we began the restoration process.
